Surah Al-Humazah is the 104th chapter of the Quran, consisting of 9 verses. It warns against slander, gossip, and the harmful behavior of those who hoard wealth and slander others. Below are the verses of this Surah.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
وَيْلٌ لِكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُمَزَةٍ ١
Woe to every scorner and mocker (1)
الَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُ ٢
Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. (2)
يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ ٣
He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. (3)
كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنْبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ ٤
No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. (4)
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ ٥
And what can make you know what is the Crusher? (5)
نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ ٦
It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, (6)
الَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْأَفْئِدَةِ ٧
Which mounts directed at the hearts. (7)
إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِمْ مُؤْصَدَةٌ ٨
Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them (8)
فِي عَمَدٍ مُمَدَّدَةٍ ٩
